After living in the Netherlands for seventeen years Mieke decided to come to the land of hockey & maple syrup in 2004. She is quite happy living in this beautiful place called Canada and has had the opportunity to see the east and west.
Mieke works as an administrative assistant in Burlington, flying paper planes daily. She also goes to Mohawk College to become a Child & Youth worker. Mieke attends the Cornerstone Canadian Reformed Church in Hamilton. She also loves going to Streetlight Ministries regularly. Some of Mieke’s favourite things to do are: listening to music, traveling, painting, and reading books. Her ambition is to one day reach the cookie jar in the high cupboard without using a chair.
